Ilhan Ersahin Trio

Image of 'Ilhan Ersahin Trio' Born in Sweden in 1965, Ilhan Ersahin first picked the tenor saxophone at the age of 16 and started studying it when he was 19, wherefore the first seeds of a successful musical career were sown.

In his early 20's, Ersahin decides - with a clever career move - to continue his musical career in NYC and in order to strengthen his musical faculties he enrolls at the famous Berklee College of Music with a scholarship. Im Röseligarte

Image of 'Im Röseligarte' Something was ringing a bell. For years I had been looking for ‘Im Röseligarte’. This famous collection of 400 years of Swiss Folk Songs was first published between 1908 and 1925. I had only found a few ruffled volumes. I didn’t know that in 2008 the Zytglogge Verlag had republished the whole collection. When I stumbled upon it in a bookstore at the train station of Bern during a short stopover, something was ringing in my ears (it was a cowbell).

"Im Röseligarte" - improvisations on Swiss Folks Songs from the Swiss Collection "Im Röseligarte" (In the Rosegarden) by Swiss-Amsterdam singer Kristina Fuchs in Duo with drums, piano, trumpet, a second singer, solo or with a musician of [more...]

Greetje Kauffeld merkte in de liner notes van haar debuut-cd op: 'With perfect timing, subtle interpretation and daring, Imke knows how to use her beautiful voice to express the emotions the songs evoke' [more...]

Ingram Washington

Image of 'Ingram Washington' Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan U.S.A. Ingram learned his singing skills at the early age of 10, simply by listening to the great jazz musicians of that time. That’s why he has become a singer in the tradition of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Billy Eckstine and Joe Williams. Ingram has performed in several clubs all over the world and after he settled in Holland in 1988 he formed a band that brought him lots of success in Europe and the rest of the world. The repertoire covers a variety of nice jazzy, easy listening, and latin songs, including his very own interpretations of timeless classics. His warm voice (think of Arthur Prysock) and his personal contact with his audience will gua [more...]
